Just read a recent poll that suggests that 56% of Britons, after being asked a leading question, would rather leave the EU than remain within it. Obviously this has provoked a torrent of bullshit from both Europhiles and Europhobes, so I thought I would compile this handy guide to clarify the issue:

Reasons for staying in the EU: Irrational fear of what may happen if we leave.
Consequences: Imponderable, but unlikely to be the ones expected.
